Ambulance Stuck on Train Tracks in Spotswood

An ambulance narrowly missed disaster when it got stuck on the train tracks in Spotswood.
The incident happened on Nov. 24, but the Spotswood police just announced it Monday night. While the ambulance was stuck on the tracks, the conductor of an oncoming train saw the vehicle and stopped before hitting it.
A private ambulance drove off the road and onto the train tracks off Main Street in Spotswood at about 6 p.m. on Nov. 24. The ambulance was successfully removed by a tow truck with no injuries reported.

Police are warning drivers to be careful in the area.
Vehicles often drive off the road and then get stuck on the train tracks there, Spotswood police warn. Drivers are urged to remain cautious and alert at this crossing as people frequently get confused, thinking the tracks are the road.
