EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Six candidates have filed to run for three seats on the East Brunswick Board of Education in the upcoming election, including three incumbents.
Incumbents Tim Cummings, Antoinette Evola and Laurie Herrick are seeking new three-year terms on the board. They are being challenged by Muhammad Saqeeb, Heather James-Zuckerman and Hena Mughal.
Cummings has served on the board since 2023, when he was appointed to fill a vacancy before winning election to a full term.
Herrick was first elected to the board in 2023 as well. Evola, a former East Brunswick Township Council candidate, has since joined the Board of Education.

The election will be held on November 3.
