EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Township Council will meet Monday, at 7:30 p.m., with an agenda that includes two ordinances up for public hearing and a slate of consent agenda resolutions.
The council will hold a public hearing on Ordinance 26-21, which would amend the township's zoning code to add a definition for "data centers" and designate them a prohibited use in all commercial, business and industrial zoning districts.
A second ordinance, 26-23, is a capital ordinance appropriating $1.2 million for the replacement of the municipal building roof, including the police department, funded through the Capital Improvement Fund and Capital Fund Balance.
Ordinance 26-24 will be introduced to amend the township's time-limit parking schedule to add additional streets. A public hearing on the measure is scheduled for Sept. 14.
The council will adjourn into executive session to discuss union contract negotiations.
The meeting will be held at the Jean Walling Civic Center, 1 Jean Walling Ave. The next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Courtroom.
