EAST BRUNSWICK – "POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive", a farcical comedy by Selina Fillinger kicks off Playhouse 22's 2026 - 2027 season Friday, September 18.
Running through October 3, "POTUS" is about when a President unwittingly spins a PR nightmare into a global crisis, the seven brilliant and beleaguered women he relies upon most risk life, liberty, and the pursuit of sanity to keep the commander-in-chief out of trouble. The all-female farce took Broadway by storm in a star-studded production that earned three 2022 Tony nominations.
Directed by Jennifer Greenberg, the ensemble cast includes Vivette Alston as "Harriet", Jess Pace as "Jean", Carol Kerdock as "Stephanie", Ali Gleason as "Dusty", Rachel Schmeidler as "Bernadette", Tara Hines as "Chris", and Letitia D. Townes as "Margaret".

The show runs September 18 - October 3 with performances on September 18, 19, 25, 26 and October 2 at 8 p.m.; Sundays, September 20 and 27 at 2 p.m. and Saturdays, September 26 and October 3 at 2 p.m.
