EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two of East Brunswick's own are taking the hometown stage this weekend, and the show won't cost you a thing.
The East Brunswick Arts Commission will host the second of three Music on the Menu concerts on Saturday, at 7 p.m. at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center Theater, 721 Cranbury Road. Admission is free.
The café concert series celebrates local talent, and this edition puts the spotlight on two young East Brunswick performers.
Vinya Chhabra is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who recently appeared on "The Voice." Her performances have drawn a large following, according to the arts commission.
Elizabeth Palumbo is a soprano and award-winning student at Northwestern University. She has played numerous leading roles during her college career.
The commission is billing the night as an evening of music and community pride, and a chance to cheer on hometown talent.
The concert is supported in part by a grant from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund, awarded through the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners.
