EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Fashionistas, set your alarms. Nordstrom Rack is opening its newest New Jersey store at Brunswick Square on Thursday.
The grand opening celebration starts at 8 a.m., and doors open at 9 a.m. The day will include a local coffee cart, giveaways and more, according to the company.
The 27,000-square-foot store sits in Brunswick Square at the corner of Route 18 and Rues Lane. Nordstrom first announced the East Brunswick location in February.
"We look forward to being a part of the East Brunswick community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices," said Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack. "We're excited to grow our footprint in the greater New York market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience."
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price arm of Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. It sells apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes at up to 70 percent off, including many of the same brands found at Nordstrom stores.
Shoppers at the East Brunswick store will also be able to pick up online orders from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com and make returns, Lionello said.
The store joins a lineup at Brunswick Square that the company says will include PGA Tour Superstore, Barnes & Noble, J. Crew and AMC Theatres. The shopping center is owned and managed by Paramount Realty and Edgewood Properties.
"We are very excited to welcome a nationally respected retailer like Nordstrom Rack to our revitalized Brunswick Square," said Maurice Zekaria, CEO and president of Paramount Realty. "Their reputation for delivering great brands and outstanding value makes them a terrific addition to the merchandising mix we're building, and we think the local community is going to love having them here."
Nordstrom currently operates four Nordstrom stores and nine Nordstrom Rack stores in New Jersey, which together support more than 1,500 jobs across the state, according to the company.
