Another Water Main Break In East Brunswick Tuesday Morning

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Traffic in East Brunswick was hampered by yet another water main break Tuesday morning, Jan. 2.

This latest water main break occurred in the area of 53 Wellington Road a little after 9 a.m. today. A water utility crew is repairing the break right now. There was also a water main break on Fischer Drive in Milltown Tuesday morning. About 50 residents in the area of South Brook Dr. between Hill St. and Albert Ave. may lose water this morning, or have discolored water. Repairs will begin at 11 a.m.

The East Brunswick water and sewer utility said that area gets water main breaks whenever there is severe cold. Nobody in that area has reported losing water yet, but there will likely be service interruptions and water quality issues in the area, a utility employee said.
