Applications Open For Youth Police Academy In East Brunswick
Due to a high number of applicants and limited seats, applications should be submitted as early as possible, the police department said.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — This summer activity has been in high demand for a long time. The East Brunswick Police Department is currently accepting applications for the 16th Annual Youth Police Academy. This year’s academy is open to students from East Brunswick ages 13 to 17.
The Academy will begin on June 26 and end on June 30. Classes will be held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at East Brunswick High School. A graduation ceremony will be held on the last day of the academy on June 30 at 2 p.m. Enrollment fee of $100. The Academy can accommodate 30 cadets.
The one-week program will provide students with a better understanding of how the East Brunswick Police Department operates and how the police officers serve and protect the community.

Each cadet will have opportunities to enjoy team-building activities and learn a great deal about respect and tolerance while having fun. The program also includes a field trip to a local law enforcement site, such as the New Jersey State Police Museum or equivalent.
Residents interested in enrolling their children in this program, can complete the online registration via the East Brunswick Department of Recreation link and email the completed Applicant Packet to the Community Policing Unit (CommunityPolicing@ebpd.net ). The registration deadline is May 5.
