Arrest in South River Domestic Violence Incident
Mahmoud Ahmed was taken into custody in Edison Tuesday afternoon and charged with aggravated assault.

South River, NJ - A man wanted by police for a South River domestic violence incident was arrested at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, police there reported.
Mahmoud Ahmed was taken into custody in Edison by the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department Fugitive Squad with the assistance of the South River Police Department Detective Bureau, Edison Police Department and South Plainfield Police Department.
He is charged with aggravated assault and eluding stemming from a domestic violence incident on April 27. Ahmed was wanted on multiple warrants from other towns for other incidents, police said.

He will be transported to the Middlesex County Correctional Center in lieu of $55,000 bail
