Arrests At East Brunswick Parking Garage For Smoking Pot, Police Say

Two men were found smoking marijuana in their car in an East Brunswick parking garage on Memorial Day, police said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two men were found smoking marijuana in their car in an East Brunswick parking garage on Memorial Day, police said.

At 10:23 p.m. on Monday, May 30, Patrolman Robert Theoret noticed an occupied vehicle on the top level of the East Brunswick Transportation Center, a parking garage at 551 Old Bridge Turnpike and Tices Lane. He told the three occupants that the parking garage is for vehicles with parking permits and that "No Trespassing" signs are posted at each entrance.

While speaking to the occupants, Ptl. Theoret said he detected the odor of raw marijuana. He arrested Huma Mansuri, 30, of Edison and Ehsan Khan, 24, of East Brunswick. Additionally, all three occupants, Mansuri, Khan and Imad Mekaoui, 23, of East Brunswick were issued township ordinances for trespassing.
