Brunswick Square Mall Welcomes New School Year In East Brunswick

The mall will be hosting various events to celebrate the upcoming school year and to help school districts within the community.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Brunswick Square Mall is providing the community different ways to celebrate the fresh start of a new school year, with back-to-school events.

Through a selection of upcoming events, guests will have the opportunity to prepare for school in style. “We are excited to prepare kids, families, and educators in the East Brunswick community for this coming school year,” said Ron Lichtenberger, General Manager at Brunswick Square.

“This school year will be especially memorable as many students return to in-person learning, and at Brunswick Square, we want to support guests and offer ways to celebrate the start of an exciting new year in the classroom.”

The events begin Saturday with a Teacher Appreciation Event at 9 a.m. Educators can enjoy teacher exclusive promotions and discounts at selected retail stores, vendors, and Classroom-themed raffle baskets. The Mall will partner with the Artist People for an exclusive classroom sign painting class for teachers on Saturday, Aug.14 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

For an additional cost, teachers can sign up through Brunswick Square’s website to paint a sign for their classroom. The first 50 teachers to check in will even receive a back-to-school themed swag bag. Teacher ID is required for swag bag redemption.

Meanwhile, children will have the opportunity to celebrate going back to school through the KidX Club Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment including a mad scientist show, DJ, caricature artist, balloon twisting, and more. The first 200 children in attendance will receive a take-home school-themed craft kit and Back to School Bash Bag.

Brunswick Square will also host a Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive beginning Aug. 14 and continuing through Sep. 10. residents and guests are encouraged to drop off school supply items at the town center to benefit the school districts within the community. The town center will create an interactive Chalk It Up wall for guests to share their favorite part of a new school year or a memory from a time when they used to be in school.

The Chalk It Up wall will be located across from AMC Movies, next to The Children’s Place.

All Back to School events will adhere to rigorous cleaning and disinfectant practices. Guests will be expected to conduct themselves in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations, recommendations, and mandates, while also adhering to each individual tenant’s policies.
