Burglary Attempt On East Brunswick/South Brunswick Border, Police Say
It happened off Church Lane in East Brunswick last week, but the alleged burglar was arrested on Davidson Mill Road in South Brunswick.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — An East Brunswick resident watched in horror as a potential burglar entered their neighbor's home last Tuesday morning, police said. This happened on Crispen Lane, a quiet, dead-end residential street surrounded by woods off Church Lane. The alleged burglar ran off and was later arrested after South Brunswick police said they found him trying to break into a car on Davidson Mill Road.
Last Tuesday, Aug. 1 a resident of Crispen Lane said they watched as a suspicious man parked in the cul-de-sac at around 11 a.m. and walked into their neighbor's home. The witness called the neighbor to give a warning, but the man was already inside. He was scared off by the alarm and approaching police units.
Police then searched the heavily wooded area around Crispen Lane after the suspect fled on foot. Nearly eight hours later, on Wednesday, the South Brunswick police department responded to a call for a car burglary on Davidson Mill Road and received a second call of a suspicious man in the immediate area of Davidson Mill Road.
