Car Break-In in South River
A man broke into a woman's car Sunday afternoon sometime before 4 p.m.

South River, NJ - A South River resident reported that a man broke into her car sometime Sunday afternoon before 4 p.m., according to police there.
The woman said she found a black shoe and a wallet inside her car. The wallet belonged to a man, 57-year-old South River resident Sam Bowles, who was already at the police station Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. on another matter.
It was discovered that Bowles had an outstanding $2,500-outstanding warrant out of East Orange Municipal Court. He was taken into custody for that outstanding warrant, and also charged with the car break-in. In that incident, he was charged with burglary, theft of items in excess of $800 and criminal mischief to the vehicle.
