Boy Critical After Near Drowning At Crystal Springs Monday
The boy is 7 years old and was pulled from the deep end of the Sapphire Bay section of the water park. He remains critical.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — As of 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, there are no medical updates on the status of the child who nearly drowned at Crystal Springs Family Water Park on Monday afternoon, East Brunswick police said.
However, it has now been reported that the child, a boy, is 7 years old, according to MyCentralJersey.com. He remains in critical condition Tuesday after he was pulled from the pool. A witness told MyCentralJersey they saw emergency personnel near the deep end of the Sapphire Bay section of the water park Monday afternoon.
At approximately 3:35 Monday, East Brunswick patrol units responded to Crystal Springs Family Water park for a report of a child not breathing, East Brunswick police said.

Officers, along with water park personnel and EMS, performed CPR on the child, who was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Crystal Springs is a very popular area water park located on Dunham's Corner Road. As a result of the incident, it closed early on Monday.

Drowning is the second-leading cause of accidental deaths for children under the age of 15, according to the CDC.
