Closing Sales Coming To East Brunswick Toys R Us
Liquidators are coming this Friday, March 23 to the East Brunswick Toys R Us/Babies R Us, and closing sales will likely start this weekend.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Liquidators are coming this Friday, March 23 to the East Brunswick Toys R Us/Babies R Us, a store employee said, and closing sales will likely begin as early as this weekend.
The sales could start small, at 10 percent, and grow gradually to as much as 80 percent off the entire store, the store employee said. He wanted to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal. Others Toys R Us locations, such as in Wayne, NJ, are already holding liquidation sales at 60 percent off.
He said an exact closing date for the East Brunswick location, on Rt. 18, has not been revealed by the company yet.

"It could be as late as July. It all depends how quickly we can get rid of the inventory, and we still have a lot of inventory left in the warehouse," he said.
But the store could close much earlier; other Toys R Us locations in New Jersey have been given an approximate May 14 closing date.

The toy retailer last week confirmed reports it will sell or close all 735 U.S. stores, including both its Toys R Us and Babies R Us locations, and will be liquidating its inventory and holding going-out-of-business sales.
However, some toy makers, such as Lego and Mattel, the maker of Barbie, have filed legal objections to Toys R Us' plans to sell off all remaining inventory in order to pay off debts. Mattel and Lego say they want their unsold toys returned to them.
