Dana Zimbicki Appointed To East Brunswick Council
Zimbicki will fill the seat left vacant after Michael Spadafino resigned in January.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Dana Zimbicki was appointed to the East Brunswick Town Council on Monday. She will fill the seat left vacant by Michael Spadafino.
Spadafino resigned from Council on Jan. 10, and the East Brunswick Democratic Organization (EBDO) nominated three candidates to fill his position - Verne Whitlock Jr., Dana Winston and Zimbicki.
Zambicki is currently the President of the East Brunswick Educational Association.

She began her teaching career in East Brunswick in February of 1989. She taught 7th grade history at Hammarskjold Middle School for 25 years.
Zambicki received the 1994 Governor’s Teacher of the Year Award. She also piloted the school district’s first in-class support program and implemented alternative assessment methodologies.

She served on the East Brunswick Education Foundation as the EBEA Liaison. In n 2014, she was elected President of the East Brunswick Education Association.
