Door-to-Door Soliciting in East Brunswick/Spotswood Area, Police Say

Spotswood, NJ - Police arrested a woman for door-to-door soliciting in Spotswood earlier in August, and residents in the area say it's continuing to happen this week.

A suspicious woman was going door to door in Spotswood Gardens at 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, asking to see people's utility bills, police said.

Ciani Porter, of Philadelphia, was arrested for soliciting without a permit and had an active criminal warrant for solicitation. A resident said door-to-door solicitation continues this week in Spotswood, where a woman knocks on doors and asks to see your utility bill. Call police if you get these types of solicitations.
