East Brunswick Approves $552K To Rebuild Community Park Pickleball Courts
Site demolition, new fencing and post-tension concrete are all part of the scope for the Community Park upgrade.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Township Council approved a contract not to exceed $552,500 for the reconstruction of the pickleball courts at Community Park, citing safety concerns over the courts' current condition.
The council voted to award the contract to Classic Turf Co., LLC, of Woodbury, Connecticut, during its June 22 meeting. The resolution was part of a larger consent agenda passed without individual discussion.
According to the resolution, the township's Department of Recreation and Parks determined the courts at Community Park were in disrepair and needed replacement to ensure public safety and continued use of the park's amenities.

The contract was awarded through the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey's (ESCNJ) Cooperative Pricing System, under contract number ESCNJ 24/25-45, rather than through a separate township bidding process.
The scope of work includes site demolition and base preparation, construction of post-tension concrete pickleball courts, walkways, fencing, curbs, accessories and color coating for all courts at the park.
