East Brunswick Boys Bowling Team Receive Mayor's Proclamation For Winning Championship
The team was recognized by mayor and council for winning the Group 4 state championship earlier this year.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The East Brunswick boys bowling team was honored with the Mayor’s Proclamation for finishing the 2022-23 season with an impressive record. The proclamation was presented to the team on Monday, during the Council meeting.
The team won the Group 4 state championship earlier this year, their third in school history.
The proclamation was presented to the team for their hard work, perseverance, and self-sacrifice.

“You don’t get to Group 4 state championship level unless you are all leaders,” Councilman Kevin McEvoy said.
“We are very, very proud and that’s why we have a habit of bringing our state championship teams here to council for recognition.”

The Councilman commended the team for showing leadership quality.
"Just to arrive at the state championship is tremendous. But to actually win it, it’s something unlike anything else,” Councilman James Wendell said.
The coach of the team thanked the council for acknowledging the students’ hard work.
“I just want to thank everyone for acknowledging the hard work and dedication that not only the boys, but their families went through this year,” the coach said.
