East Brunswick Library To Explore The History Of Super Bowl
The virtual event will delve into the birth of the Super Bowl and the importance of the halftime shows.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Super Bowl is more than just a football game – it's almost an unofficial holiday.
But there is much about the history of this game that remains unknown to many.
East Brunswick Public Library and the Friends of the East Brunswick Public Library will host the online program that takes a look at the birth of the Super Bowl.

Titled “The Super Bowl: How America’s Top Sports Event Was Created” the program will be led by veteran sports broadcaster Evan Weiner, who will look at how the event got its name and the importance of the halftime shows.
Weiner is an award-winning journalist and expert on the sports industry. A former member of the Minnesota North Stars radio broadcast team, he has a daily video podcast called “The Politics of Sports Business”. In 2010 he won the Ronald Reagan Media Award from the United States Sports Academy.

The program will be held virtually on April 7 at 7 p.m.
