East Brunswick Pier 1 Closing; Old Bridge Learning Express Opens

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Pier 1 store on Rt. 18 in East Brunswick will be closing, but a final date of business is unknown. The company is closing up to 450 Pier 1 stores nationwide, and there are currently 27 Pier 1 stores in New Jersey.
When Patch called the East Brunswick Pier 1 store last week, a manager confirmed the store would be closing, but said a final day of business had not yet been given.
In other news, a Learning Express Toys & Gifts opened in Old Bridge. Located in The Shoppes at Old Bridge off Rt. 9, the Learning Express opened its doors over the 2019 holiday shopping season, but will have its official ribbon cutting with Old Bridge Mayor Owen Henry on Feb. 7.
