East Brunswick Schools To Give Free Meals To All Students

Students who are currently paying for their meals can now request free breakfast and lunch.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Students at East Brunswick Public Schools will be eligible for free meals irrespective of income status.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued a waiver recently stating that all registered students, regardless of lunch status are eligible to receive free meals.

Students who are currently paying for their meals can now request free breakfast and lunch.

Under the USDA program, families can pick up free food from their local school district. The USDA extended the program until Dec. 31, past its normal end date due to the coronavirus.

  • Chittick (door 6) 9:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Chittick (door 6) 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
  • Memorial (door 17) 9:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Memorial (door 17) 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
  • Hammarskjold (door 31) 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
  • Hammarskjold (door 31) 12:45 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Churchill (door 5) 7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
  • Churchill (door 5) 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • EBHS (door 10) 7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
  • EBHS (door 10) 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • EBHS (door 10) 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Meals can be picked up only at the listed door numbers. Parents are requested to not enter the main entrances of the schools while picking up meals.

Breakfast and lunch pick-up will be twice a week — Fridays and Tuesdays. The Friday meal pickup will include meals for Monday and Tuesday. The Tuesday meal pick-up will include meals for Wednesday through Friday.
