East Brunswick Stop & Shop Raises $10K For Breast Cancer

If you donated $1, $3 or $5 when you bought groceries at the Rt. 18 store this month, the American Cancer Society would like to thank you!

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Stop & Shop on Rt. 18 raised more than $10,000 this year for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, all part of Stop & Shop’s annual “Pink Ribbon” campaign.

From Oct. 11-27, 136 total Stop & Shop stores across New Jersey, New York City and Long Island collected small donation amounts at checkout in the amount of $1, $3 and $5 in support of the American Cancer Society and the fight against breast cancer.

Stop & Shop raised a total of $500,000 through the drive. One hundred percent of these funds go to the American Cancer Society and will be used in breast cancer treatment and research, as well as for patient services and support.
