East Brunswick Student Earns 2023 College-Sponsored Merit Scholarship
The student will be awarded between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — An East Brunswick High School student has earned the prestigious college-sponsored merit scholarship from the National Merit Scholarship Competition for 2023. The announcement was made recently the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
Benjamin Yu received a National Merit Rutgers University Scholarship. Yu plans to study computer science at the university next fall.
These scholarships will provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Yu is among more than 7,140 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities, according to the NMSC.
Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution.
