Middlesex County Vocational School Goes Virtual After COVID Case
The East Brunswick campus went virtual after a ninth-grade student tested positive for COVID-19, officials said.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools campus in East Brunswick has gone virtual for 14 days, after a ninth grade student tested positive for COVID-19. The school made the announcement last week.
The student had gone to school on Sep. 4.
“The N.J. Department of Health requires that if there is one confirmed case in a school the school remains open and students and staff in close contact with the positive case are excluded from school for 14 days. In this case, circumstances have made it challenging to trace all those in our school community who came in close contact with this one confirmed case,” Superintendent Dianne Veilleux said in a statement.
