East Brunswick's Jax Makes It To American Idol Top Six

Jax has made it to the American Idol Top Six.

The 18-year-old East Brunswick resident, Jackie Cole “Jax” Miskanic, sang “Piece of My Heart” and “Beat It” on the show’s American Classics theme night, according to My Central Jersey.com.

NJ.com said Jax is the first New Jersey resident to advance into the Top 6 on the show’s 14 seasons, although the newspaper noted that other contestants with Jersey ties have made it that far. After Jax sang the Janis Joplin classic, J-Lo told the teen her performance was strong and she was “in her element,” according to NJ.com.
