Due to the great smartphone cameras and video software access, it is a great time to be an amateur filmmaker. East Brunswick Public Library and the EB Indie Film Festival host an online film editing workshop on Wednesday, July 20, at 7:00 pm.

Attendees ages 13 and older will learn how to create their experimental shorts through demonstrations of editing techniques, abandoning cinematic rules, and other filming tips.

This workshop is led by Alyssa G. Mullings, an award-winning filmmaker from East Brunswick. Her latest project, “Fever,” won the 2021 EB Indie Film Festival award for Best Editing. She is a well-rounded artist with a passion for writing, directing and editing.
