Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater, will be having open auditions for "Crazy for You" on Aug. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m.
Callbacks will take place on Aug. 29 (by invitation only) and callback sides will be provided for you. You will be asked to sing and read from the script at this time.
The show dates are Nov. 2-18. Performances asre Fri.-Sat. 8 p.m., Sun. 3 p.m.
Auditions will be held at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
The show will be directed by Corey Rubel, music direction by Christopher Howatt and choreography by Jillian Kimberlin.
Please prepare 16-32 bars of a classical musical theatre piece for auditions. Please refrain from singing anything from the show; but a song that suits the character that you are auditioning for; suggested composers are Gerswhins, Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern.
As well as singing, you will be asked to learn a short dance
combination; please bring appropriate clothing and tap shoes if you own them (they are not required to audition).
