Forsgate Country Club Unveils Renovated Grill for Members

Monroe Township, N.J. —Forsgate Country Club, central New Jersey’s best private club value, unveils a newly renovated grill restaurant for its members and guests this spring. Re-named the Gatenby Grill (to honor the wife of club founder John Forster), the casual restaurant boasts a modern yet classic bistro-style theme with expanded seating, a light and open contemporary bar, new flooring, and fresh wall décor.

“As the social centerpiece of our thriving club, it was important that we conceptualize a restaurant that would appeal to all of our members, from the business owner entertaining a client, to the family with young children,” said Forsgate General Manager Ryan Dionne. “With updated décor and an appetizing menu highlighted with locally sourced ingredients, we are confident this will be the ‘go to’ dining choice for our members and guests.”

Forsgate retained Rocco Marianni & Associates Interior Design to transform the existing traditional grill that featured rich, dark-stained woodwork and cabinetry into a space with modern flair and complementary accents.

“My approach was to incorporate an eclectic and dynamic style of design that blends many elements that would appeal to the wide range of members at Forsgate,” said Rocco Marianni, whose extensive experience includes several design projects for the exclusive Pine Valley Golf Club.

The club installed all new carpeting, tufted and buttoned banquette seating in a rich red color and added transitional style chandeliers and polished nickel wall sconces with crisp white shades. The most dramatic enhancement is in the bar area where the dark wood floors, bar top and cabinetry were replaced with Victorian-inspired light beige and grey porcelain mosaic tile floors, a gleaming white and grey quartz bar top, new bar stools, and a new back-bar set up.

The Gatenby Grill will be open Monday – Sunday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., serving lunch and dinner for members and their guests. In addition to the well-known Forsgate favorites that include fresh salads, hearty soups, “club” sandwiches and burgers, the Gatenby Grill will offer fresh seafood entrees, sizzling steaks and heart healthy options.
