Explore 4-H Clubs, Volunteer Options At Oct. 4 Open House In East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Curious about 4-H? Families can check it out for free next month.

The Middlesex County 4-H Youth Development Program will hold its annual open house on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Middlesex County 4-H Youth Center, 645 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick.

The event is open to families, kids and adults interested in volunteering.

Visitors can meet 4-H members, club leaders and volunteers, look at the different clubs on offer and try hands-on activities and demonstrations. Adults can also learn how to become 4-H volunteers.

The program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County and serves youth in grades K-13. Clubs cover a wide mix of interests, including leadership, science, animals, arts and crafts, food and the environment.

Through 4-H, kids get to explore new interests, build confidence, make friends and grow into community leaders, according to the program.
