Children of the Raritan Valley YMCA, in conjunction with the Jamesburg American Legion Auxiliary Unit 127, placed flags on the Y lawn after learning about the poppy flower and its significance to Memorial Day. The children were joined by Nic Torres, A Vietnam veteran, who assisted with flags and drone photography.
To join the American Legion Auxiliary or for information about YMCA programs and membership, contact Gina at 732-257-4114. The YMCA is located at 144 Tices Lane in East Brunswick. Y staff work with many partners to educate and produce community events.
