Girl Scouts To Hold Mega Recruitment Day In East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey is hosting a Mega Recruitment Day on Saturday, Aug. 14 at Walmart Supercenter.

"Girl Scouts’ mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Now more than ever, girls need Girl Scouts," the organization said in a statement.

The recruitment drive on Aug. 14, 2021, will be held at various locations across Middlesex County. The aim is to bring local Girl Scout volunteers and staff to local areas and encourage girls ages 5 to 18 to get involved with Girl Scouts.

Girls and their parents can learn more about the Girl Scout experience and how to get involved during the recruitment drive.

The Girl Scouts will be recruiting at the following locations between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 14:

• Walmart Supercenter: 290 NJ-18, East Brunswick
• Dunkin' Donuts: 517 Old Post Rd, Edison
• IHOP: 1340 Centennial Ave, Piscataway
• Raritan Bay YMCA: 357 New Brunswick Ave, Perth Amboy
• ShopRite of Carteret: 801 Roosevelt Ave, Carteret
• Walmart: 1126 U.S. 9, Old Bridge
