Green Day Announces Starland Ballroom Concert

Green Day will play the Starland Ballroom Sept. 28 in support of their new record.

Sayreville, NJ- Punk rock band Green Day announced this morning they will be playing the Starland Ballroom Sept. 28. The date is a part of a small club tour to promote the bands 12th studio album, Revolution Radio.

Known for selling out arenas, the 2,500 capacity Starland Ballroom date gives fans a chance to see the legendary punk rockers in a smaller venue. The bands last NJ headlining date was at the 17,500 seat PNC Bank Arts Center.

For fans unable to score tickets to the New Jersey date, Green Day will also be stopping by the Tower Theater in Philadelphia on Sept. 29 and Webster Hall in New York City Oct. 8.

Members of Idiot Nation, the official Green Day fan club, can buy tickets starting tomorrow, Sept. 7, at 10:00 am EST using the pre-sale code emailed to them. General tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 9 at 10:00 am EST. Tickets for the Starland Ballroom are $65 plus service fees, which are usually $10 for shows at the club.

Revolution Radio goes on sale Oct. 7, but you can listen to the first single, "Bang Bang," below.
