Heat safety awareness for the community (Canva)

Did you know that extreme heat can affect more than just your physical health? High temperatures can increase feelings of stress, anxiety, irritability, and emotional exhaustion. Older adults and individuals living with behavioral health conditions may be especially vulnerable during periods of extreme heat.

During hot weather, stay hydrated, spend time in air-conditioned spaces when possible, and check in with family, friends, and neighbors. If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress, help is available.
