EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The East Brunswick Police Department is requesting residents to come together to help them raise money for people with autism.
The fundraiser is being organized through the department’s Community Response Unit. For 12 years, the police department has supported those with autism and their families.
They have been successful in assisting family caregivers of individuals on the autism spectrum through financial grants, support groups, caregiver training, and advocacy locally and globally.

This year has been especially challenging for families and the department is looking to help them navigate the pandemic.

- Provided over 50 virtual programs over 5 months for families in the US and Ghana, Africa.
- Awarded 20 families in various states in the US with grants worth $500 and $1000, through MyGOAL, totaling $15,000.
- Connected with over 2,000 special needs individuals and families through virtual programs.
