EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Hillsborough man who was already wanted on a prior warrant from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office was arrested last month and charged with shoplifting from the East Brunswick Kohl's on Rt. 18.
At 3 p.m. on Monday, June 11, East Brunswick police got a call about a male shoplifter at the store, who ran from store security and was running across the parking lot, stolen merchandise allegedly in hand.
Police found a man matching that description sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot. Jonathan Kersis, 30, of Hillsborough was found with three pairs of headphones and one pair of jeans with the security tags still attached lying on the front passenger floor of his car, police said. He was taken into custody without incident.
