How do I apply for the Meals-on-Wheels program?

MOW provides home-delivered meals to isolated, homebound seniors - YMCA has free food boxes

The Senior Meal Program provides home-delivered meals to isolated, homebound seniors who have no formal or informal caregiver and are unable to attend a congregate meal program. An initial intake form is completed and processed to screen eligible residents for the program. The Senior Meal Program operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. For further information residents may contact the main office at 732-745-3295 or click here to view the Nutrition Services page.

The Raritan Valley YMCA (www.raritanvalleyymca.org) has teamed up with the Middlesex County Office of Aging & Disabled Services at 732-745-3295 to increase public awareness of services and opportunities for county seniors, the disabled, and their caregivers.

The YMCA has a weekly food distribution program. For free food boxes of dry and canned goods or produce, call for availability information or have a loved one stop by the YMCA at 144 Tices Lane or call 732-257-4114 and pick up a free food box.
