How Will The New Brunswick Gas Pipe Replacement Project Affect You?
Is one of the thirteen affected streets yours?

New Brunswick, NJ-- PSE&G has begun a major construction project in East Brunswick that will cause road closures and detours.
Nearly two miles of gas delivery pipe will be replaced along Somerset Street. The old pipes, which were made out of cast-iron, will be replaced with plastic and steel pipes to prevent gas leaks.
The News Brunswick work is part of a three year project to replace nearly 510 miles of gas main lines throughout the state.

Construction will take place between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and is expected to conclude in December. In addition to Somerset Street, a number of side streets will be affected as well.
Residents will be notified about street closures and detours as they happen, through phone calls, mailings, door hangers, and Facebook posts.
