Ice Causes Garbage Truck To Slide Into Gas Station, Other Middlesex County Accidents

Today’s wintery weather has caused multiple accidents in the Middlesex County area:

• Icy roads led a garbage truck to slide into a gas station on Route 1 in South Brunswick.

• Hazardous, Icy roads have also resulted in at least 14 crashes in the area, according to South Brunswick Police.

• It has also been reported that at least one person fell along an icy sidewalk and between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. one bicyclist fell.

• As of 1:06 p. m., there’s a Vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway southbound North of Interchange 8A - NJ 32 in East Brunswick Twp. Right lane blocked.
