Jazzercise Brings Dance Party to County Fair; Offers Free Classes for Young Women in 2017
Jazzercise Dance Fitness program will entertain and engage participants at the Middlesex County Fair and promote free GirlForce classes

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 11, 2017) ─
Local Jazzercisers will bring the dance party to the Middlesex County Fair stage on Sunday, August 13 between 1 and 2pm, when they give a live demonstration of the global dance-fitness phenomenon and promote GirlForce, the Jazzercise, Inc. initiative offering girls aged 16-21 free classes in 2017. The GirlForce program aims to empower young women by giving them a place to get fit, learn healthy habits, and find a place they belong in their communities.
Launched in January 2017, participating Jazzercise locations encourage teens and college-aged women to join the movement and learn to “dance their own path.” Jazzercise of East Brunswick has been welcoming young women in classes since the start of the year and is generating more excitement for the program throughout central Jersey by expanding the GirlForce to ages 13-21 throughout the rest of the summer.

Eight-year instructor and East Brunswick class owner Amy Denholtz Lewandowski is thrilled to open her Jazzercise class doors to young women in the community. According to Lewandowski, each Jazzercise class offers a calorie-torching, energetic, hip-shaking dance party set to today’s hottest music, taught by knowledgeable and experienced instructors. “Jazzercise offers anyone a chance to dance and get results with our upbeat pulse-pounding cardio and strength workout. We are the original dance fitness party and our program had such a huge impact on pop culture that our name is synonymous with an era. But our workouts are way too hot for legwarmers and we continue to evolve and transform people’s bodies and their lives.”
With free classes for girls 16-21 years of age throughout 2017, and including girls ages 13-15 through August 31st, in East Brunswick Lewandowski seeks to offer GirlForce participants physical, emotional, and mental health benefits in a positive, supportive space. “GirlForce is a special opportunity for young women to experience dance and explore their own unique path. It is our hope that our GirlForce is empowered, learns to appreciate what their minds and bodies can do, and understands the importance of fitness in their future.”
