Loaded Gun Found in East Brunswick Traffic Stop: Police
The car was pulled over on Rt. 18 North near the Turnpike.

East Brunswick, NJ - A traffic stop on Rt. 18 last Saturday in East Brunswick resulted in police officers finding a man with a loaded 9mm handgun in his car.
Patrolman Christian Longhitano pulled over a car on Rt. 18 North near the Turnpike at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. He noticed a marijuana odor coming from the car. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and a pat-down turned up negative.
The passenger, later identified as Herbert Donerson, 22, of Piscataway, was also asked to exit the vehicle. As Ptl. Longhitano began to search Donerson, he became uncooperative and agitated, police said. Longhitano called for a back-up officer, and after he arrived, officers said they found a loaded 9mm handgun in Donerson's jacket pocket and a bag of marijuana in his front jeans pocket. He was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana.
