Man Broke Into Cars On University Rd. In East Brunswick, Cops Say

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Monroe Twp. man broke into multiple parked cars on University Road in the pre-dawn hours this past Sunday, Nov. 11, East Brunswick police say.
Police were called to University Road at approximately 4:00 a.m. Sunday for a report of a male breaking into multiple motor vehicles. Patrolman Dan Werner located a man walking on Wellington Road that matched the description provided by the 911 caller.
Tyler Butchko, 29 of Monroe, was searched and found to be in possession of cash and property not belonging to him, police allege. Additionally, Butchko was positively identified by the 911 caller as the suspect breaking into the cars, police said.

He was arrested and charged with burglary and theft, and released pending a court date.
