Man Found with Heroin in Downtown Spotswood: Police
A Hightstown man was pulled over on Main Street and found with the drug.

A Hightstown young man was arrested Saturday in downtown Spotswood and charged with heroin possession, police said.
Spotswood police were on an unrelated traffic stop on Main Street, by Victoria Park, at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, when they observed an Acura driving east on Main with “multiple equipment violations” — such as a broken tail light, missing a license plate, etc.
They stopped the car on Main Street near the Rt. 18 overpass, where the driver, Anthony Torres, 23, of Hightstown, was found to be in possession of 18 wax paper folds containing suspected heroin. The wax folds had “Dead Man” stamped on them, and he also had 8 hypodermic needles, a billy club, a crack pipe and Diazapam, which was not prescribed to him.
