Man Caught Stealing Copper in Middlesex County: Police
He would sell the stolen copper to buy cigarettes, police said.

SOUTH RIVER, NJ— Police arrested a man in Middlesex County over the weekend after they saw him stealing copper, South River Police said.
Derek Dunfee, of Princeton, was approached by officers after they saw him walking around an abandoned property in South River.
According to police, Dunfee dropped two pieces of copper pipe when he was approached, and admitted to removing it from a different residence. He told police he sells the copper to buy cigarettes.

Dunfee was arrested and charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking. He was taken to Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in lieu of $30,000 bail.
