N.J. Man, 22, Crushed To Death At Recycling Area In Salvage Yard

A 22-year-old man was crushed together at a recycling center portion of the salvage yard, officials aid.

A 22-year-old New Jersey man was crushed to death in a cardboard compactor at a salvage yard Thursday, according to authorities.

The employee of Atlantic Sales & Salvage, who was not named, died in the recycling area of the East Brunswick facility, oanna Hawkins, a spokeswoman for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, told nj.com.

The details of the accident or how, or when the employee exactly died was not immediately known. East Brunswick police and fire made the discover after it responded to the facility on Edgeboro Road for an industrial incident Thursday just before 11:30 a.m.

OSHA, the federal agency charged with enforcing workplace health and safety, is investigating the incident.
Efforts to obtain comment from Universal Processing, LLC, which does business at the address as Atlantic Sales & Salvage, were not immediately, according to the report.
