A New Entertainment Venue Is Coming To East Brunswick
Palmeras Entertainment – a family-centered entertainment venue will be opening soon on Route 18.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A new entertainment destination is opening soon to East Brunswick. Palmeras Entertainment — a family-centered entertainment venue will be opening on 1031 Route 18 in the township.
Spread over 50,000 square feet, the venue will feature bowling, arcade games, foosball, billiards, party rooms and food options. The venue was initially slated to open in April but is experiencing some delays.
With the addition of Palmeras, East Brunswick is fast becoming the “entertainment center” of New Jersey, Mayor Brad Cohen said. The Route 18 redevelopment project has been Cohen’s focus and a platform on which he ran for reelection. “People don’t rely on retail; they mostly prefer shopping online. This change is consistent with what I’ve seen in other towns. We’ve had to change and adapt with times,” Cohen said.

And with Palmeras opening soon, it provides that important link to complete East Brunswick’s plan to convert Route 18 into an entertainment hub. With easy access to highways, Cohen sees families from all over New Jersey coming to East Brunswick for entertainment.
“In that location, we have Rock N Air, Arooga's and soon the ice rink will be built. We’re seeing it evolve from being a retail space to an entertainment hub. We have to take advantage of our location and play to our strengths — and our biggest strengths are our diversity, schools, location and safety,” Cohen said.

Palmeras will not only bring revenue to the township but will bring business to local hotels, restaurants and the service industry, the mayor said.
No opening date has been announced yet for Palmeras as work is still ongoing on providing finishing touches to the venue.
