No Threat To East Brunswick Schools Amid Tik Tok Challenge
The school district is on alert after a nationwide "challenge" on the social media app warned of school violence on Friday.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick School District will maintain a “high level of security vigilance” after a disturbing new nationwide TikTok "challenge." This new trend encourages violence this Friday at schools around the country, but they did not name any specific targets.
In a message to the school community, Superintendent Victor Valeski said the school district was aware of the TikTok challenge threatening violence at schools.
"I can assure you that no direct threat has been made against East Brunswick Public Schools but we will maintain the same high level of security vigilance that you have come to expect from us,” Valeski said.
