North Brunswick Hit-And-Run Driver Still At Large

North Brunswick police continue to search for the driver who hit a man last week on Rt. 130, severely injuring him, and fled the scene.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — North Brunswick police continue to search for the driver who hit a man last week on Rt. 130, breaking several of his bones, and then fled the scene.

The crime happened a little after midnight last Wednesday, Feb. 14: At approximately 1:30 a.m. last Wednesday, a male pedestrian was struck on Rt.130 near Apple Orchard Lane.

He told police he was walking on the far right side of the shoulder along Rt. 130 northbound when he was struck by a vehicle. The impact of getting hit threw him onto the grass along the side of the highway, and he broke several bones, police said. The car did not stop and continued northbound.

The injured man remained on the ground until he was able to flag down a car, and 911 was called. He sustained serious injuries, and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

The car police are searching for is a silver-colored vehicle, and should be missing the silver covering of the passenger-side mirror. There may also be other passenger-side damage.
