NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — If it's the holiday season, it also unfortunately must be time for package thefts, or so-called "porch pirating."
North Brunswick police sent out an alert this week, saying they've seen a sharp increase in packages being stolen, and telling residents there and in nearby towns to be alert.
"Since November 19, we have 13 reported package thefts throughout North Brunswick," said Det. John Strzykalski. "There does not appear to be any type of pattern or targeted area at this time."
