Pedestrian Hit On Rt. 18 Thursday Night In East Brunswick

A pedestrian was hit by a car while trying to cross Rt. 18 at Racetrack Road Thursday night in East Brunswick, police said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A pedestrian was hit by a car while trying to cross Rt. 18 Thursday night in East Brunswick, police said. The accident, which happened at about 9 p.m., closed down all lanes of Rt. 18 northbound at Racetrack Road for four hours Thursday night.

As of Friday morning, the pedestrian is in stable condition.

The pedestrian was hit in the northbound lanes of Rt. 18 near Racetrack Road. When police got there, the victim was alert and conscious, but in need of medical attention. They were taken to Robert Wood Johnson for further evaluation.

Police did not specify if the pedestrian was a man or a woman, or give their age.
